FaceTite®
At Shaw Plastic Surgery, board-certified Wichita plastic surgeon James Shaw, MD and our team understand that not every patient who is bothered by signs of facial aging wants to undergo surgery to restore a more refreshed, youthful look. With the ability to reduce both excess fat and loose skin, FaceTite® by InMode is an advanced, in-office treatment at our practice to address jowls, skin laxity, and facial fullness — all with minimal invasiveness and little to no recovery time.
FaceTite® is a non-surgical skin tightening and facial contouring treatment designed to rejuvenate and redefine the lower face and neck. Using radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis (RFAL) technology, FaceTite® delivers controlled heat beneath the skin to stimulate collagen production, tighten lax tissue, and reduce small pockets of unwanted fat. Often described as a “non-surgical facelift alternative,” FaceTite® bridges the gap between non-invasive treatments and more extensive surgical procedures by offering noticeable tightening and definition with less downtime and fewer risks than surgery.
What Concerns Can Be Addressed with FaceTite®?
FaceTite® can be highly effective for addressing early to moderate signs of facial aging, particularly in areas where skin laxity and mild fat accumulation exist. This in-office treatment can be used to refine contours, improve skin tone, and create a more youthful appearance.
Thanks to the ability to simultaneously remove fat and stimulate collagen production in the treated area(s), FaceTite® can offer both slimming and skin tightening benefits to the following areas:
- Lower face
- Cheeks
- Jawline (jowls)
- Neck
For those with more extensive skin laxity or fat buildup in the face, Dr. Shaw may recommend procedures like a neck lift, facelift, or submental liposuction to more effectively achieve your desired results.

Who is a Good Candidate for FaceTite®?
FaceTite® can be an excellent treatment option for Wichita patients who want to rejuvenate and resculpt areas of their face, but prefer non-surgical treatments as opposed to a facelift or liposuction. Ideal candidates for FaceTite® include:
- Individuals experiencing mild to moderate skin laxity who are seeking improvement without undergoing a full surgical procedure
- Patients who have noticed early jowling, softening of the jawline, or looseness in the neck
- Those in good overall health who can maintain realistic expectations, understanding that FaceTite® can produce significant improvement but does not replicate the results of surgical procedures
FaceTite® can also be an excellent option for those who want longer-lasting results than injectable dermal fillers or external energy treatments, but who prefer to avoid large incisions and extended recovery times.
How is the FaceTite® Procedure Performed?
FaceTite® is an in-office treatment conveniently performed at our Wichita practice. Conversely, the procedure can also be performed in the operating room when combined with aesthetic surgeries such as blepharoplasty or a Mommy Makeover.
The procedure often utilizes local anesthesia, although treatment can also be combined with light sedation or other anesthesia options if desired. FaceTite® involves making very small entry points in discreet areas of the skin. A thin probe is then inserted beneath the surface of the skin while a second electrode remains on top. Together, these components deliver controlled radiofrequency (RF) energy to the targeted regions. This energy simultaneously liquefies small amounts of fat and heats the surrounding tissue, causing immediate contraction and stimulating long-term collagen remodeling.
Dr. Shaw then carefully moves the device through the treatment areas to ensure even contouring and tightening. Depending on the extent of treatment, the procedure usually takes between 45 minutes to a couple of hours. Due to its precision and internal approach, FaceTite® typically allows for more significant tightening than surface-based treatments while still avoiding the invasiveness of surgery.

Is There Downtime After FaceTite®?
Recovery after FaceTite® is relatively minimal compared to surgical procedures, but some downtime should still be expected. Most patients experience swelling, bruising, and mild discomfort for a few days following treatment. A compression garment may be recommended during the initial healing process to help reduce swelling and support the newly contoured tissues. Many patients feel comfortable returning to light activities within one to two days, while more noticeable swelling typically resolves within one week.
Initial improvements can often be seen relatively quickly due to tissue contraction, but the most significant results develop gradually over several months as collagen production increases and the skin continues to tighten.
How Much Does FaceTite® Cost in Wichita?
The cost of FaceTite® in Wichita can vary depending on several factors, including the size and number of areas treated and the complexity of the procedure. On average, pricing ranges from approximately $3,000 to $8,000. Fortunately, treatment in Wichita is typically much more affordable than rates in other parts of the country.
Smaller, more targeted treatments — such as the jawline or under the chin — tend to be relatively less expensive than more comprehensive face and neck treatments. Since FaceTite® is considered a cosmetic procedure, it’s not covered by insurance. However, Dr. Shaw offers plastic surgery financing for qualified patients through CareCredit® to help make treatment more accessible. The best way to determine an accurate cost is through a personalized consultation, where Dr. Shaw can create your treatment plan based on your specific goals and anatomy.
Dr. James Shaw and our aesthetic team prioritize offering non-surgical solutions for patients who prefer to avoid the downtime and invasiveness of a surgical procedure.
